FAMU Football Kick-Off Luncheon and Fan Day Scheduled for August 17, 2019

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Rattler Boosters, Inc. and the FAMU Athletics Department will host the annual Football Kick-off Luncheon and Fan Day on Saturday, August 17, at the Alfred Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium, located at 1800 Wahnish-Way.

The doors will open on the west side of the Lawson Center at 10:30 a.m., for a Meet & Greet. You will have an opportunity to join and contribute to the FAMU Rattler Boosters, Inc., and meet the Boosters’ Board of Directors. The Kick-off Luncheon will be held from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., and will feature appearances by the FAMU Rattler football team and coaches, performances by the Marching “100”, and FAMU cheerleaders.

Tickets are $40.00 and can be purchased from any Booster member or by contacting Booster President Selvin Cobb at (850) 445-9689 or selvincobb@gmail.com. Radio personality Joe Bullard will also provide updates leading up to the event on Cumulus 96.1 JAMZ.

Fan Day will kick-off at 2:30 p.m. Fans may enter through the main entrance of the Lawson Center, (east side at Wahnish Way) at no cost to celebrate the start of the football season. Fans will have an opportunity to get an up-close look at this year’s Rattler athletes, coaches and cheerleaders, who will be on-hand for autographs and photos. Live entertainment and other special surprises will highlight the event.
